How it works
About the loan eligibility calculator
Lenders usually cap the share of your take-home income that can go towards EMIs, called the Fixed Obligation to Income Ratio (FOIR). Typical limits are 40% to 60%, depending on income and lender.
The formula
Max EMI = Income × FOIR − existing EMIs; Loan = EMI × [(1 + r)n − 1] ÷ [r × (1 + r)n]
r = annual rate ÷ 12, n = months.
Frequently asked questions
Is this the amount a bank will give me?
It is an estimate. Lenders also consider your credit score, age, employment, the property’s value and their own policies. We can compare offers across lenders for you.
