How it works
About the CAGR calculator
CAGR expresses growth as a steady yearly rate, which makes investments held for different periods easy to compare. It smooths out the ups and downs along the way.
The formula
CAGR = (Final ÷ Initial)1/n − 1
n = years held.
Frequently asked questions
Is CAGR the same as XIRR?
CAGR suits a single investment and a single redemption. For SIPs or multiple cash flows, XIRR is the appropriate measure.
